Dakshin Bharat Jain Sabha honour distinguished people from the Jain community annually. Following are the awards are given to notable personalities.

SOCIAL SERVICE AWARDS

Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Education – Service Award

This award is bestowed to the person that who has devotionally rendered valuable services in various fields of society on state level at least for 25 years. This award is open to the persons of all religions. A person rendering services for the educational and cultural upliftment of backward classes is selected for this award and conferred with Rs. 25000, Shawl, Shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra).

Shri. B. B. Patil Social Service Award

Padmbhushan Krantiveer Nagnathanna Nayakwadi social service Award

Dr. B. S. Bargale social service Award

This award is sponsord by Dr. Dinesh S. Bargale and Dr. (Sou.) Shashi Bargale of ichalkaranji. This award is bestowed to the person that who has given valuable contribution in establishing and running the selfless and devotional and service-oriented institutions for the rehabilitation of deaf and dumb, blind, handicapped children. The nature of this award is Rs.15000, Shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra).

Shri. Bal Patil Social-Cultural Awareness Award

Late Shri Bal Patil Was a Senior effectual, Competent and thoughtful journalist of the country. His contribution in social awakening through research oriented study of problems of jain community was note-worthy. Especially his role in the problem of achieving Minority status to Jain community was remarkable. He remained loyal in performing this role that which was assigned to him by Dakshin Bharat Jain Sabha. The inspiration of his role has been put before the workers performing their roles in social, Cultural and social awakiening fields. This award is being given to the best performer of this field and the nature of this award is Rs.11000, Shawl, Shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra).

Dr. N. J. Patil Adarsh Karyakarta (Ideal Social Worker) Award

This award is instituted by the Veer Seva Dal Madhyvarti samiti of Dakshin Bharat Jain Sabha in the name of senior founder worker and ex-president of it late Dr. N.J.Patil of Kolhapur. This award is being given to senior workes for his note-worthy contribution in veer seva dal so as to encourage him. The nature of this award is Rs.5000/-, shawl, shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra).

EDUCATIONAL AWARDS

Acharya Kundkund Prakrit Literature (Books) Research and Writing Award

This award is bestowed to the Studious literary person that who has contributed in the field of research and writing of jain literature in prakrit language. Shri Ramanlal Bhaichand Doshi of Karmala has sponsored this award and the nature of this award is Rs. 11,000, Shawl, Shrphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra).

Acharya Vidyanand Literature (Marathi) Award

Basically, Jain Literature in Marathi Language is limited and therefore this award is given to encourage the creativity of the authors of Marathi jain literature. This award is open to the persons of all religions and the nature of this award is Rs. 5000, Shwal, Shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra) but however, the Jain literature Created in Marathi language in the last 10/15 years is considered for this award.

Acharya Bahubali Literature (Kannada) Award

This award is given to well-known author of Jain Kannada Literature. This award is bestowed from the fund created by the shravak of Belgaum. The nature of this award is Rs.5000, shawl, Shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra) and it is open to the persons of all religions.

Prof. D.A.Patil (sir) Adarsh (Ideal) Shikshak (teacher) Award

This award is sponsored by the Gourav Samiti which was formed to Celebrate 61st Birth Anniverssary of Prof. D.A.Patil (sir). This award is being given to ideal teachers of the Society. the nature of this award is Rs.11000, Shawl, Shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra).

INSTITUTIONAL & INDUSTRIALIST AWARDS

The Arihant Credit Souhard Sahakari (Co-Operative) Adarsh (ideal) Sanstha (institution) Award (Maharashtra & Karnataka)

This award is sponsored by the president, Dakshin Bharat Jain Sabha and founder chairman of Arihant Credit souhard co-operative sanstha Shri Raosaheb Annasaheb Patil of Borgaon for the Ideal co-operative institutions of Maharashtra and Karnataka. His role in inculcating the best sanskaras, discipline, interest in nation building activities among the volunteers of Seva Dal is unique and therefore to keep an ideal before youth this award is being sponsored by the Veer Seva Dal Madhyavarti Samiti out of its own raised fund for this purpose. Shri Champatarayji Youth (Yuva) Award

This is a serious matter that now a days the rate of youth participation in social, educational and national services is declining. The leadership of tomorrow is on the shoulder of today’s youth and therefore to create interest about social services in youth the Dakshin Bharat Jain Sabha has instituted this award out of the fund raised by shri Neelambhai Ajmera of Osmanabad. This encouragement award is being given to service oriented youth. The nature of this award is Rs. 2000/-, shawl, shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra).

Shrimati Savitribai Raghoba Rote Adarsh (Ideal) Yuvati Award

Shri. Suresh Jaykumar Rote and his brother shri Rajendra Rote of Kolhapur have instituted this award in the memory of their grand-grandmother shrimati Savitribai Raghoba Rote. The purpose of establishing this award is to create intrest in social and national services among the female youth of the society. JOURNALISM AWARDS

Prabhatkar V.R. Kothari Adarsh (Ideal) Patrakarita (Journalism) Award

The Contribution of Prabhatkar late V.R. Kothari in awakening society through social work and journalism is noteworthy. In the memory of his contribution shri Anand Gandhi and his family members of pune have sponsored this award. This award is open for all those who are performing their roles selflessly in the field of journalism and the nature of this award is Rs.11000, Shawl, Shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra).

Principal G.K.Patil Adarsh (Ideal) Journalism (Patrakarita) Award

Prin. G.K.Patil was courageous and outspoken journalist who created social awareness in Jain community through his fearless and persuasive thoughts contributed in “Pragati ani Jinvijay” a leading periodical of Dakshin Bharat Jain Sabha. A person who inspired through such a wide base journalism and contributed actively valuable thoughts to jain journalism is selected for this noble award. The nature of this award is Rs.5000/-, shawl, shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra). This award is being given to a person recommended by the editorial board of Pragati ani Jinvijay. This award is inspired by prof. D.APatil and instituted by Dakshin Bharat Jain Sabha.

RELIGIOUS AWARDS

P. P. Shramanratna Acharya Shri 108 Subalsagarji Maharaj Tyagi Seva Shravak Award

The Jain Acharya, Muni, Aryika are continuously moving in the society for attaining swa-atmakalyan while protecting, developing culture of Jain religion and leaving its impact on the people. Therefore, the male shravak who are putting their faithful services physically, mentally and economically in the activities like ahar, vihar, vaiyavratas for tyagis are being selected for this award. This award is sponsored by the ex-president of Veer Seva Dal, Prof. B.K.Patil (out of his noble donation). The nature of this is Rs.5000/-, shawl, shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra).

Shrimati Dhannabai Gangwal Tyagi Seva Mahila Award

Tyagi (Muni) who are engaged themselves in activities like protection of religion, influencing religion are worshipful. Arrangements for ahar, vihar, Vaiyavratas of Tyagi (muni) are to be made by shravak/shravika. This worthy practice is prevalent in jain community through centuries. The shravak / shravika are faithfully performing these activities in the society. The female shravika who are putting their faithful services physically mentally and economically in such activities are being selected for this award. This award is sponsored by shri. Shripalji Gangawal of Gevrai and conferred by Dakshin Bharat Jain Sabha. The nature of this award is Rs.2500/-, shawl, shriphal and a letter of honour (Sanmanpatra).

Shrimati Premabai Jain Adarsh Mata (Ideal Mother) Award

An ideal person is rare in the society. The values of ideal life are changing day by day and therefore it seems that there are no ideals before new generation to follow. The major role is played by the woman in the development of personality of an individual. The mother is the main agent in inculcating better sanskaras in child and developing ideal personality. This Adarsh Mata Award is instituted out of the fund created by shri. Sureshdada Jain of Jalgaon. So as to establish an ideal in the society. Shriman Shridhar Bhaurao Sakale (Appa), Sangli Adarsh Pita (Ideal Father) Award

Shriman Shridhar Bhaurao Sakale of Sangli (Native village Nandre) Spent his 77 years of life in social service. He helped a lot number of poor and needy persons through Shantidoot Charitable Trust. Love, affection and loyalty towards father and mother was inevitable part of his personality. This award has been instituted by his sons through Shantidoot Charitable Trust to praise and encourage the persons who are performing the same social work. Adv. Sou. Sumati and Adv. Shri Arvind N. Patil (India’s 1st Notary couple) Lawyer woman (Mahila) Award

Adv. Sou. Sumati and Adv. Shri Arvind N. Patil fo Belgaum is the first couple in India that which has achieved a rare honour of becoming notary at a time. An award created by this couple is conferred to a woman who is law expert or expert lawyer of the society.
